Why Show Caller

We've all been there.

Many of us have run shows off a Google Sheet and a stopwatch. It works — until the speaker wraps four minutes early, the worship leader holds the chorus one more time, or the keynote unexpectedly takes questions and the whole schedule unravels.

When the talent pivots, the production team has to adapt. And when it goes off-sheet, and the rundown no longer reflects reality, you spend the whole show managing people instead of shaping the moment.

Show Caller puts everyone on the same screen, updated in real time by the producer. No reprints. No radio chatter to sync up. Every role — FOH, cameras, lighting, stage — sees exactly what they need to see, exactly when they need to see it.

That's what levels up the whole team.

The musical guest extends the extro Producer adjusts the rundown in real time. Every operator sees the updated timing instantly. Nobody misses a beat.
🎤
Keynote takes unexpected questions The producer adds time to the cue, dynamically adjusting the countdown clock, and everything flows when the moment is ready.
Show runs long — no problem EST Time of Days update automatically. The producer sees where to recover time. The audience never feels the adjustment.
What's included

Everything the team needs.
Focused for the job at hand.

🎭
Role-Based Access
Producer, Operator, and Viewer roles keep the right people in control. Producers manage the show and the team. Operators make notes, know where we are and where we're going. Viewers follow along.
📋
Custom Column Layout
Build the rundown your team actually uses. Add columns for Audio, Video, Lighting, Graphics, Camera — whatever departments are in the room. Each user saves their own column layout.
🤖
Auto-Advance & TOD Triggers
Mark cues to fire automatically when the previous cue completes, or set Time of Day triggers to fire at an exact clock time. Let the system handle some of the handoffs so the producer can focus on the show.
📊
Dynamic Timing
Change a duration and every downstream start time updates instantly. EST TOD shows projected clock times for every cue based on accumulated durations. Import from your existing Google Sheet in one step via CSV.
💬
Producer Messages
Send real-time messages to the talent. Messages appear as a banner in their view — no phone, no radio, no IFB.
Video Outputs

Stage and Backstage displays
ready to deploy.

The Stage Timer and Backstage Display output directly from the Server as dedicated video outputs. No output card, no browser on a secondary machine. Portrait mode rotates the output 90° in software. No scaler. No adapter. No extra gear in the case.

A fullscreen countdown for talent inspired by the TED Countdown Timer. Color transitions from green to amber to red as time runs down, with custom messages from the producer readable from across the room.

Backstage Display
Current cue, next up, and show clock — large, high-contrast, readable from across a green room. Half-window mode lets you share the screen with a program return or confidence monitor feed side-by-side. One monitor handles both, because we've all been in that green room.

We built Show Caller so everyone from the conference show caller to the Sunday morning producer could tap into the same quality tools as broadcasters.

Built by

Made by people
who call shows.

Show Caller was born out of twenty years of great shows, nearly missed cues, a whole lot of standbys, last-minute calls, and a few stressful moments.

We've called shows off Google Sheets. We've watched operators miss cues because they were on a different version of the rundown. We've set up green rooms where talent had to choose between seeing program and knowing what's coming next. We've seen shows get so far off plan that every cue becomes a real-time negotiation.
